Yesterday at the SNP annual conference a motion calling for Gender Affirming Care to be brought in line with all other models of health care for adults, and operate off an informed consent model without additional need for a psychiatric diagnosis was passed almost unanimously (ok, one person out of a thousand plus objected). The motion by the LGBTQ+ branch was seconded by the Social Justice Minister. It also called for GPs to be given extra training in trans support. Must say I was surprised, delighted and a little emotional at the level of support for the motion. Kxxx
