Last Friday (19th April) I was invited in my capacity of one of the two vice-chairs of Newbury Pride to receive an award from the mayor of Thatcham for the work we have been doing through the last year to inclusivity and diversity within the town. This was a great personal honour marred only be having to share it with the chair of Pride (only joking Graham). I have no idea why I stood the way I did but it was a really fun and rewarding evening.
