So back in November whilst on my first Beaumont weekend in Stratford, Lynne got me drunk and made me  to arrange another southwest event as thing are a bit non-existent down here.

Fast forward 6 months and here we are in sunny Bath.

We started as a group of 9 at a pub for lunch, which was lovely, but it just so happened to be that the local rugby team were in a big match in Bath and the pub was a sporty pub so it was about 90% blokes in rugby shirts getting ready to watch the match. We had no issues. In fact there were a couple of times guys held the door open for me.

We wandered through the town which was busy and decided to find a cafe on a green and enjoyed coffee (Deborah with a slice of rainbow cake!)

We then booked into our hotel after meandering through a market and stopping at a stall with millions of things to tempt us in the way of jewellery…

We had a quick change before wine and cheese at the hotel, then off to Zizi's for dinner. Sadly by then our numbers had dropped as Nicola wasn't feeling well.

After dinner Samantha and Bridget left, so we were then 4… so we decided to mix it up with the youngsters in the local Slug and Lettuce. We danced, drank and chatted.

Into bed at 1pm… great night.

Next day after a spot of brekkie we looked at the Jane Austin centre but soon decided that the place next door, the House of Frankenstein was more appealing. After a coffee, we all then went our separate ways home.
