Hi. Having seemingly come to an end of our long-awaited summer, we've finished with the beach for now. Instead, we set off this morning for Ickworth House only to find the whole estate closed 'due to high winds'. We then went to the local vineyard; also closed. So ended up at Long Melford Hall, with lunch at The Bull. Turned out OK after all.

I find high winds the most problematical thing. The attached was taken in my back garden earlier in a sheltered position.

What do other ladies consider the most irritating weather conditions? And would anybody like to discuss, or suggest, favourite NT places?
