Discovered this Bowie-esque rocker some time ago. “First openly gay rock musician to be signed to a major record label” and declared himself “rock’s truest fairy” …and unfortunately like so many of his time died too young in 1983 of AIDS.

Anyway, this is one of his best. I admire his refusal to adhere to masculine stereotypes -expressed through lyrics like “Clara bows and open toes are what I am” and “light of step and soft of touch, a gentle man” 🎶
