Here's one for ya !

At present, and for at least 4 years there's been Regional Organiser vacancies in the London area, North East and Wales.

Plus, apart from {Karen C, and a couple of others nothing s being Organised in the regions 🙂 So why have RO's.

We have updated and modernised the website, so why don’t we look at modernising more aspects of the Beaumont, it’s stood still for 10 years, and faces the fact it will fade away, if we don’t modernise, within the next 10 years.

No one’s change, we our comfort zones, but we need to move with the times.

My opinion is that the RO model doesn’t work anymore, it's outdated, plus we haven’t managed to fill 4 RO vacancies for at least 4 to 5 years. /No member wants to take on that responsibility.

So why don’t we have a Network Structure, not a Hierarchical one. For example, the EC would still exist, President, Vice President, Treasurer, Editor, Exec Secretary and Press Officer, then we have Key Members, not RO's

This would encourage members to organise events and outings. Interestingly Bath was organised from Sinead, Sibson has and the next one will be organised by Samantha, {Helen Back, is organising the Severn Valley Railway - NO RO has organised any of the recent events.

This could be the precedent to encourage more members to organise outings, days out or even weekends.

What do you think?
