The Beaumont Society, the UK’s largest and longest-established transgender support group, is embarking on an exciting journey to re-design and update its website, with a major new version, version 2.0.

A team of 5 of us are working on the new design, the Public site is now ready, you can see it by clicking on this link:

Home

We are working on updating the members area, to make it easier to navigate, include a chatroom, like the newsfeed we had on the new site - This will be ready soon !!! Note The Members area link doesn't work - at the moment.

This initiative aims to create a cohesive forum and messaging system that not only meets the current needs of its members but also anticipates the recruitment of younger

transgender individuals who are accustomed to a connected, digital world.

 Meeting Current Membership Needs

The Beaumont Society has always been a beacon of support for the transgender community, offering a safe space for individuals to share their experiences, seek advice, and find solidarity. However, the digital landscape is ever-evolving, and the Society recognizes the importance of updating its online presence to better serve its members. The new version of the website will feature an integrated forum and messaging system, providing a seamless and user-friendly experience. This will enable members to communicate more effectively, share resources, and build stronger connections within the community.

Anticipating the Needs of Younger Generations

In today’s digital age, younger transgender individuals are growing up in a world where online connectivity is second nature. Social media, instant messaging, and online forums are integral parts of their daily lives. To attract and engage this demographic, the Beaumont Society’s new version of it's website will incorporate modern features that resonate with younger users. This includes mobile-friendly design, real-time notifications, and interactive elements that foster a sense of community and belonging.

 Strategic Vision for the Future

The re-launch / update of the Beaumont Society’s website is not just about updating technology; it’s about embracing a strategic vision for the future. By creating a platform that is both inclusive and forward-thinking, the Society aims to ensure that it remains relevant and accessible to all members of the transgender community. This initiative will help bridge the gap between generations, fostering a more inclusive and supportive environment for everyone.

In conclusion, the Beaumont Society’s decision to update its website with version 2, which contains a cohesive forum and messaging system is a crucial step towards meeting the evolving needs of its members. By anticipating the preferences of younger transgender individuals, the Society is positioning itself as a leader in the digital age, ensuring that it continues to provide invaluable support and resources for years to come.

Exciting times ahead, a Very BIG Thank You to all members who gave us feedback, good and bad about the current version, version 1.

We have heard you and we will make sure we make things easier to navigate, easier to use and give you what you want.

Much Love, Lynne xxx
