Recently on these pages I published a little ditty which is quite frivolous in one respect but also delightfully true. In it I used the word "tranny"; not how I would actually describe myself but it fitted in with the flavour of the piece. But is the term acceptable in such a context in this most private of settings (I'd never use it in a public place) or does it cause offence even here?
